Newark, NJ: The #1 seeded Rutgers-Newark University men's volleyball team advanced to the ECAC Championship Match with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-22) victory over #5 seeded Ramapo College. The Roadrunners wrap up the 2026 season with a 13-13 overall record while the Scarlet Raptors move to 20-9 overall.
The Scarlet Raiders were led by Michael Suarez who posted ten kills while Harry Takyi posted seven kills, three aces, three digs and four total blocks. Aleks Kolodziej hit .571 in the match with four kills on seven attempts with no errors as he added a team high five digs and one block. Duncan Sturt dished out 27 assists and recorded one block and one kill. The team hit .328 with 30 total kills on 64 attempts and just nine errors.
Amari Menter led the Roadrunners in the match with 12 kills.
Jan Tracz tallied five kills and a team high six digs.
Joseph Duca collected 15 assists, four digs and one block while
Justin Hidalgo posted five digs and two kills.
Ryan Westrich led the team with two aces and added two digs. The team recorded 22 total kills on 70 attempts with 20 errors.
