STOCKTON TOPS RAMAPO IN NJAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ACTION

Mahwah, NJ: The Stockton University women's basketball team defeated Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 62-43. The Ospreys improve to 9-7 overall and 6-3 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 6-10 overall and 1-8 in the league.

Stockton established control early with an 11–0 run late in the first quarter, highlighted by three-point shooting from Imene Fathi and Madisyn McNair, to take a 21–10 lead. The Ospreys answered Ramapo pushes in the second quarter and then used a decisive 16–3 surge midway through the third another Fathi three, to extend the lead to 45–29. Stockton closed the game with an 11–0 run in the fourth behind a McNair three-pointers and a fastbreak finish by Sienna Fedoruk to secure the 62–43 NJAC win.

Fathi led the Ospreys with 13 points including 3-4 from the three-point line while adding three steals, three rebounds and two assists. Madisyn McNair posted 12 points, six rebounds and two assists. Bre Evans added 12 points and four steals while Zemirah Enalls added 11 points and seven rebounds. Stockton shot 39% (23-58) from the field, 42% (9-21) from the three-point line and 53% (7-13) from the free throw line. The Ospreys scored 20 points off of Ramapo's 20 turnovers in the game.

For the Roadrunners, Emma Cartwright posted 13 points, three blocks and three rebounds to lead the way. Lauren Flatt added 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals along with one block while Denay Jones contributed with nine points, six rebounds and four assists. The team shot 33% (15-45) from the field, 33% (3-9) from the three-point line and 62% (10-16) from the free throw line.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 21st when they travel to New Jersey City University for a NJAC game at 5:30 PM.
