Mahwah, NJ: The New Jersey City University men's volleyball team outlasted Ramapo College tonight in Skyline Conference action, 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23). The Gothic Knights improve to 21-8 overall and 16-2 in the Skyline while Ramapo stands at 18-9 overall and 14-4 in the conference.
Each team has clinched a Skyline Conference Tournament Playoff spot. The bracket will be released following all Skyline regular season games to be played.
The Roadrunners had two players record double digit kills tonight as they were led by
Reece Kirchofer who put down 19 kills while adding one ace, eight digs, one solo block and one assisted block.
Brady Cascone added 12 kills, one solo block and three digs.
Jan Tracz hit .600 in the match with nine kills on 15 attempts with no errors while adding seven digs and one block.
JoJo Meyer dished out 44 assists in the match while he added one kill, three total blocks (one solo) and a team high 11 digs. Meyer moved to third all-time in program history in career assists during the match with his 27th assist of the match.
Ryan Westrich recorded three aces in the match along with three digs while
Sean McNally posted 10 digs on defense for the Roadrunners.
Marcus Paradaise hit .397 for NJCU in the match with 34 kills on 63 attempts and nine errors. Matt Peralta added 12 kills and a team high 21 digs while Alex Casais posted 59 assists. The team hit .277 in the match with 62 kills on 137 attempts with 24 errors.
Ramapo will play in a Skyline First Round Match on Tuesday, April 8th. Site and opponent will officially be announced at the conclusion of the Skyline regular season.
