Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the road in a Skyline Conference tri-match hosted by Yeshiva University. The Roadrunners defeated the Maccabees, 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-18) before St. Joseph's University Long Island earned a 3-0 (28-26, 25-20, 25-17) win over Ramapo. The Roadrunners move to 10-7 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
In their first match of the day against Yeshiva,
Justin Hidalgo led the way with nine kills while he added two aces and five digs.
Caleb Ford posted eight kills and hit .727 while he posted one ace, two blocks (one solo) and two digs.
Jan Tracz hit .778 in the match with seven kills on nine attempts while he added three aces and two digs.
Joseph Duca tallied a team high 28 assists while
JoJo Meyer posted 13 assists, two kills and one dig. Duca and
Trevor Van Valkenburgh each collected eight digs to lead the team on defense.
Against the Golden Eagles,
Brady Cascone posted 11 kills and four digs to lead the Roadrunners.
Reece Kirchofer added nine kills, one ace, one block and one assist while Ford collected seven kills on 13 attempts with just one error to hit .462 in the match. Tracz also put down seven kills and three total blocks (one solo) along with five digs. Myer led the way with 37 assists while he added five digs.
Sean McNally posted a team high six digs on defense.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, March 11th when they travel to Patchogue, NY for a rematch against St. Joseph's University Long Island in a Skyline match at 7:00 PM.
