MEN'S VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO ON THE ROAD IN SKYLINE ACTION

Brooklyn, NY:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team made it eight straight with two wins on the road today. The Roadrunners (18-8, 14-3) defeated the University of Mount Saint Vincent (5-19, 3-12) and St. Joseph's University Brooklyn (6-16, 4-13 in 3-0 matches.
 
Match One | Ramapo 3, UMSV 0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-13)
Reece Kirchofer and Brady Cascone combined to put down 12 kills for the Roadrunners. Kirchofer added two assists, two blocks, six digs and one ace. Caleb Ford added three kills, one ace, two blocks and one dig. Jan Tracz collected a team high seven assisted blocks while he added one solo along with three kills. JoJo Meyer posted six assisted blocks while he dished out a team high 20 assists.
 
For the Dolphins, Olatomiwa Ibitayo led the way with eight kills while he added two aces, one block and four digs. Terrence Short also posted eight kills in the match. Felix Paulino posted 16 assists and five digs.
 
Match Two | Ramapo 3, SJBK 0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-15)
Kirchofer and Tracz each put down eight kills in the match while Kirchofer posted three aces, two digs and three total blocks (one solo). Tracz contributed with two blocks, two digs and one ace while Cascone put down five kills, four aces and five digs. Meyer added 26 assists, one kill and three digs while Ford posted four kills, two aces, one block and two digs. Sean McNally and Cascone each recorded five digs to lead the team on defense.
 
The Bears were led by Frank Rivera who tallied six kills while Gianfranco Guarraci dished out nine assists. Matthew Cottone contributed with four digs while Guarraci added three and Rivera two.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center against rival New Jersey City University for a Skyline conference match set for 7pm. The Roadrunners will honor their senior class in Kirchofer and Meyer in a pre-match ceremony.
