MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS DREW, FALLS TO HUNTER

Madison, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the road this afternoon in a tri-match hosted by Drew University. The Roadrunners defeated the Rangers, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-16) while Hunter College defeated Ramapo, 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-21).

The Roadrunners hit .360 in the match with 43 kills on 89 attempts and just 11 errors. They were led by Brady Cascone (12) and Reece Kirchofer (10) who each recorded double-digit kills. Josh Barrett added eight kills and one assist. Ryan Westrich posted two aces while JoJo Meyer contributed with 37 assists, two blocks and six digs. Sean McNally posted eight digs on defense to lead the team.
 
The Rangers were led by Michael Shipman who posted eight kills while Matthew Adegbite added seven. Quinn Donahue recorded 14 assists while Eric Forget recorded nine digs on defense to lead the team. Drew tallied 26 kills in the match on 73 attempts with 13 errors.
 
Hunter 3, Ramapo 0
Ahmed Mohamed led the way for the Hawks with 14 kills as he hit .345 in the match. Lucas George led the way with seven assisted blocks while he added five kills and two aces. Jon Pflueger put down eight kills and three blocks while Charles Pampliega dished out 23 assists.
 
Kirchofer led the way for the Roadrunners in their second match of the day as he tallied nine kills, four digs and one block. Cascone added eight kills and three digs while Barrett and Jan Tracz each posted four kills. Meyer added 25 assists and four digs while McNally and Barrett each tallied six digs to lead the team on defense.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Feb. 19th when they travel to Kean University for a NJAC match scheduled for 7:00 PM.
