Union, NJ: The Kean University men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College tonight in NJAC action, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-20). The Cougars move to 9-6 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC.
The Cougars, who hit .424 as a team in the match, were led by Chris Mitchell who tallied 12 kills on 23 attempts with just one error (.478). Aidan Flinn posted 11 kills on 21 attempts with no errors to hit .524 while he added one ace, one block and nine digs. Brandon Millias dished out 36 assists while he added three kills and ten digs. Nick Huzar posted eight kills and two blocks while Danny Pugliano posted six kills, two assists and three aces.
Reece Kirchofer led the Roadrunners with 16 kills on 45 attempts with just one error to hit .333 overall. He added two blocks and four digs.
Brady Cascone posted ten kills while
Jan Tracz hit .636 in the match with seven kills on 11 attempts and zero errors. Tracz also posted three blocks including one solo along with two digs.
JoJo Meyer recorded a team high 32 assists while posting eight digs. On defense,
Sean McNally recorded ten digs to lead the team. Ramapo collected 39 kills as a team on 105 attempts with nine errors to hit .286 overall.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Feb. 22nd when they host a tri-match with New Jersey City University and Manhattanville University.
