Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's basketball team defeated Ramapo College in NJAC action this afternoon at Packer Hall, 63-36. The Lions move to 3-7 overall and 3-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-7 overall and 0-5 in the league.
The Lions used an even scoring attack throughout the game and dominated the backboard as they out rebounded the Roadrunners 57-36, including 24 offensive rebounds. Brooke McFadden recorded a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds while adding four blocks, two assists and two steals. Amanda Baylock finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal while Grace Kowalski also finished in double figures in scoring with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot. The Lions made 10 three-pointers in the game as Baylock tallied three and McFadden and Kowalski each recorded two apiece. The team shot 32% (24-73) from the field, 25% (10-39) from the three-point line and 55% (5-9) from the three-point line. TCNJ scored 13 points off Ramapo turnovers while they added 24 second chance points.
The Roadrunners were led by
Vanessa Kohler who posted eight points while she added six points and one steal.
Lauren Flatt contributed with seven points, three rebounds and two steals while
Denay Jones added six points, three rebounds and two blocked shots. The team shot 28% (16-57) from the field, 14% (2-14) from the three-point line and 40% (2-5) form the free throw line.
Ramapo returns to action in the new year when they host Manhattanville University for a non-conference game on Saturday, Jan. 3rd, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
