Dallas, PA: The Ramapo College women's swim team competed at the Cougar Splash Invitational this evening hosted by Misericordia University. The three-day invitational began this evening with four final events. The Roadrunners currently sit in fourth place with 50 points out of six teams competing.
Valeria Pages grabbed a fourth-place finish in the 200 IM when she touched the wall in 2:17.07 while
Mairin Huston clocked in at 2:28.13,
Grace Farnum finished in 2:34.24 and
Maddy Joe posted a time of 2:39.25.
Sovy Taylor collected 13 points for the Roadrunners as she finished in second-place in the 50 freestyle in 24.44 seconds.
Brenna Philson recorded a time of 27.32 seconds while
Jamie Petrov clocked in at 33.53 seconds.
Madi Benefield placed ninth overall in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:26.32 while
Quinn Strangeway recorded a time of 5:46.79 while
Fifi Amanuel finished in 6:05.24 and
Magdalen Swat posted a time of 6:38.86. The 200 medley A-relay team finished in fifth-place overall with a combined time of 1:55.04. The team was made up of Huston, Pages,
Alazne Sudupe and Taylor.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday in day two of the Cougar Splash Invitational. Session one is set for 9:30am and session two is set to begin at 5:30pm.
