Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team recorded a 168-77 win over Hunter College this afternoon. The Roadrunners move to 3-2 overall while the Hawks now stand at 2-4 overall.
The Roadrunners won 13 of 14 events at today's meet as they were led by
Valeria Pages who recorded first place finishes in the 200 Free, 100 Free and 200 IM along with a season best combined time in the 200 medley relay. Pages clocked in at 2:02.46 for a new season best time while she posted another season best mark in the 100 freestyle in 55.65 seconds. In the 200 IM, she posted a time of 2:24.03 while the 200 medley relay team recorded a combined time of 1:67.59. The team was made up of
Mairin Huston,
Grace Korey,
Madi Benefield and Pages.
Fifi Amanuel (12:20.48) and
Magdalen Swat (13:10.97) finished 1-2 in the 1,000 freestyle. Korey (1:14.72),
Quinn Strangeway (1:21.22) and Madi Joe (1:24.36) grabbed the first three finishes in the 100 breaststroke.
Alazne Sudupe grabbed a first-place finish in the 200 fly in 2:14.22 while
Sovy Taylor won the 50 free in 25.34 seconds. Huston and
Grace Farnum went 1-2 in the 200 backstroke with times of 2:23.82 and 2:33.86 respectively. Korey (2:45.36) and Joe (3:00.75) went 1-2 in the 200 breaststroke. Strangeway won the 500 free in 5:54.89 while Benefield won the 100 fly in 1:01.15. The 200 freestyle relay team posted a combined time of 1:46.06 to win the event. The team was made up of Sudupe, Huston, Benefield and Taylor.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, November 21st when they travel to Misericordia University for the Cougar Splash Invitational. The three-day meet beings Friday at 6:00pm.
