Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated William Paterson University tonight, 160-111. The Roadrunners move to 6-3 overall while the Pioneers now stand at 10-3 overall.
Madi Benefield and
Valeria Pages each won three events in the meet to lead the team. Benefield placed first in the 200 free (2:03.59), 200 fly (2:22.72) and 500 free (5:43.69). Pages won the 100 & 200 breaststroke (1:15.31) & (2:42.96) and the 200 IM (2:25.72.
Mairin Huston won the 100 backstroke (1:09.10) and the 200 backstroke (2:32.54) while
Sovy Taylor won the 50 free (25.93 seconds) and the 100 fly (1:03.48). The Roadrunners also won the 200-medley relay with a combined time of 2:02.52. The team was made up of Huston, Pages, Benefield and Taylor. Â
The Roadrunners will now look towards the four-day NJAC Championship Meet from Feb. 12
th through the 15
th in Hampton, VA at the Hampton Aquaplex.
