Galloway, NJ: The Stockton University women's basketball team defeated Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 60-32. The Ospreys move to 9-7 overall and 5-4 in the league while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-14 overall and 1-8 in the NJAC.
The Ospreys held Ramapo to under 10 points in three of four quarters as they built a 17-point lead heading into halftime. Stockton was led by Grace Speer who finished with a double double of 14 points and 12 rebounds while she added three blocks and two assists. Skylar Fowlkes posted 10 points and eight rebounds. Imene Fathi led the team with eight assists while she added five points, six rebounds and two steals. The team scored 24 points off of Ramapo turnovers while they posted 26 points in the paint. Stockton shot 35% (23-49) from the field, 29% (8-27) from the three-point line and 66% (6-9) from the free throw line.
Lauren Flatt led the Roadrunners with 11 points while she also grabbed a team high seven rebounds.
Damiya Graham posted five points and four rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 24% (12-50) from the field, 31% (5-16) from the three-point line and 18% (3-16) from the free throw line in today's game. Ramapo scored 15 points off of Stockton turnovers.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJCU on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd in NJAC action at 5:30 PM.
