Mahwah, NJ: The Rutgers-Camden University men's soccer team opened the NJAC season with a 1-0 road win over Ramapo College this afternoon. The Scarlet Raptors move to 5-5-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-2-2 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC.
Jason Angel scored his second goal of the season off a pass from Brandon Valeri in the 50th minute of action to put the Scarlet Raptors on the board. The Rutgers-Camden defense and goalie Sean Boen held the Roadrunners scoreless in the game. Boen tallied 12 saves including six in the second half. Ramapo also dominated with all six corner kicks while they held a 12-2 shot on goal advantage in the game.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 2nd when they travel to NJAC rival William Paterson University for a game at 7pm.
