Cortland, NY: The Ramapo College women's track & field team competed at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland. The Roadrunners captured an 8th place team finish while they were just the second NJAC team to finish in the top ten.
The Roadrunners recorded multiple top five finishes during the meet.
Rebecca Kneppel recorded a 2nd place finish in the 200m dash (24.84 seconds) and a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash (12.15 seconds). She was also a part of two relay teams. The 4x400m relay team finished in 3rd place with a combined time of 3:55.33, a season best. The team was made up of
Barbara Exilus, Kneppel,
Izzy Crespo and
Dale Leonard. The 4x100m relay team recorded a 6th place finish with a combined time of 48.63 seconds. The team was made up of
Ashley Gordon, Kneppel,
Jianna Gorospe and Crespo.
In the 1,500m race, Leonard posted a time of 4:31.66 and placed 2nd overall while in the 5k,
Suzanne Zaugg clocked in at 18:06.73 for a 5th place finish.
Zoey Cassavell posted a time of 18:42.96. In the 400m hurdles, Exilus crossed the line in 1:09.30 while the 4x800m relay team set a new program record with a combined time of 9:47.99. The team was made up of Zaugg, Cassavell,
Rea Pagatpatan and Leonard.
