Mahwah, NJ: The seeding held in the first round match of the 2024 Skyline Men's Volleyball Tournament as #3 Ramapo College defeated #6 Manhattanville University, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16) tonight at the Bradley Center. Ramapo moves to 18-10 overall while the Valiants drop to 13-17 overall.
Ramapo came out strong with 15 kills in the first set as they hit .326 overall in the match with 40 total kills on 89 attempts with just 11 errors.
Reece Kirchofer hit .519 overall with 14 kills on 27 attempts with no errors while adding three total blocks including one assisted.
Amari Menter and
Nick Lisi each collected eight kills while Menter added four aces and four digs.
Brendan Edwards recorded five kills and three total blocks including one solo while
Jon Zawada tallied 11 digs on defense for the Roadrunners.
JoJo Meyer posted a double double with a team high 34 assists and 15 digs. Meyer also collected three kills on six attempts with zero errors to hit .500.
Wilton Martinez led the Valiants with seven kills while adding four digs. Pedro Barros Machado and Idris Idris eac dished out 11 assists while Emil Morban Medrano collected a team high 16 digs on defense. Jacob Fletcher posted four kills and three total blocks along with two digs.
The Roadrunners advance to the Skyline Semifinals on Thursday, April 11th at #2 seeded New Jersey City University for a 7pm match.
