Mahwah, NJ: The St. Joseph's University of New York – Long Island defeated Skyline conference rival Ramapo College tonight, 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-15). The Golden Eagles move to 18-6 overall and 13-1 in the Skyline while the Roadrunners now stand at 14-6 overall and 11-2 in the conference.
The Golden Eagles hit .345 in the match with 40 overall kills with just 11 errors. The Roadrunners posted 27 kills and 23 errors on 99 attempts. Mark Williams and Tyler Anderson collected 12 and ten kills respectively for SJLI while Luke MacPherson added seven. Quinn Foglia led the team with five total blocks while Hank Foglia posted three and Williams two. CJ Johnson led the way with 36 assists while he and Joe Pinner each tallied ten digs each on defense.
For the Roadrunners,
Nick Lisi posted ten kills,
Reece Kirchofer added seven and
Anubis Roman added four.
JoJo Meyer led the way with 23 assists while he added one block and seven digs on defense. Kirchofer and Zawada also added seven digs in the match for Ramapo.
Brendan Edwards, Roman and Meyer each posted one block.
Ramapo hosts Old Westbury on Friday, March 29th at the Bradley Center at 7:00 PM.
