Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team swept a Skyline Conference tri-match today with a pair of 3-0 wins over Saint Joseph's College Brooklyn and SUNY Old Westbury. The Roadrunners remain undefeated in Skyline action at 3-0 while they are 6-4 overall.
In Ramapo's win over SJBK, 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-22), the team recorded 39 kills on 93 attempts and 19 errors to hit .215. Rece Kirchofer led the way with 14 kills while
Amari Menter posted five and
Alex Tramontana added four.
Brendan Edwards collected three aces while
JoJo Meyer collected 28 assists and added seven digs.
Anubis Roman posted three blocks while Kirchofer added nine digs.
In the second match of the day, a 3-0 (25-, 25-, 25-) victory over Old Westbury, Ramapo hit .413 with 42 kills on 76 attempts with only nine errors. Roman led the way with seven kills while Edwards put down six and Kirchofer added five.
Joseph Duca collected three aces and Edwards tallied three total blocks to lead the team. Duca also dished out a team high 21 assists while Meyer collected 12.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, March 5th when they travel to the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a Skyline match-up at 6:00 PM.
