MEYER RECORDS 1,500TH ASSIST; ROADRUNNERS EARN FIRST SKYLINE WIN

Ramapo splits on the road at Rivier Tri-Match

Nashua, NH: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a pair of matches in a tri-match today at Rivier University. The Roadrunners won a Skyline Conference match over Manhattanville College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-19) before falling to the host Raiders, 0-3 (18-25, 16-25, 20-25) in a non-conference match. Ramapo moves to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline.
 
Reece Kirchofer posted eight kills, two aces and three digs while Amari Menter added seven kills and five digs. Nick Lisi added a match high three aces while posting five kills and five digs. Anubis Roman tallied three blocks and four kills while JoJo Meyer dished out a team high 27 assists, three total blocks, three kills and a team high eight digs. Meyer's sixth assist in the match gave him 1,500 assists for his career. Meyer is the 7th Roadrunner in program history to eclipse the 1,500 assist mark. Ramapo collected 31 kills in the match on 83 attempts and just 15 errors.
 
Manhattanville (1-5 overall, 0-1 Skyline) was led by Pedro Barros Machado who collected six kills, four assists and one ace. Wilton Martinez tallied four kills and three total kills and five digs while Idris Idris dished out a team high ten assists and added four digs. The team posted 19 kills on 80 attempts and 22 errors.
 
Rivier (3-4 overall) earned a non-conference win over the Roadrunners. The Raiders hit .493 overall as a team in the match with 43 kills on 67 attempts and just ten errors. Sokunbuth Ly led the way with 15 kills while he added two assists and seven digs. Ryan Peace added nine kills and two blocks while Neil Rea dished out 35 assists while adding five aces and six digs.
 
Lisi hit .471 with ten kills to lead Ramapo in the match while adding two digs and one solo block. Kirchofer added eight kills while Menter posted six. Meyer posted 24 assists, two digs and one block while Jon Zawada added two assists and five digs. Ramapo hit .254 in the match as a team with 29 kills on 67 attempts and 12 errors.
 
Ramapo returns to action at the Bradley Center on Friday, February 9th when they host a tri-match. They will take on Eastern University at 1:00pm, St. John Fisher and Eastern will play at 3:00 PM and the Roadrunners will go up against the Cardinals at 5:00 PM.
