Troy, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a pair of games today in a non-conference tri-match hosted by Russell Sage College. The Roadrunners fell to #12 ranked Nichols College, 0-3 (18-25, 18-25, 15-25) while they defeated the host Gators in three sets, 3-0 (25-15, 30-28, 25-21). Ramapo moves to 4-3 overall.
Against Nichols (15-12 overall),
Reece Kirchofer led the Roadrunners with ten kills while
Nick Lisi posted nine kills and two blocks.
JoJo Meyer recorded a team high 25 assists while he added five digs, one block and one kill.
Jake Fritz posted five kills and two digs. The team collected 29 kills on 85 attempts with 20 errors.
Against Sage (2-9 overall), Kirchofer hit .448 with 18 kills on 29 attempts and just five errors while he added five aces and two solo blocks. Lisi added ten kills and six digs while Fritz posted five kills, two aces and two digs. Meyer added a team high eight digs and dished out 30 assists in the match while adding two aces. The team hit .227 in the match with 37 kill on 75 attempts and 20 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 28th when they host Kean University in a NJAC match at 7:00 PM.
