Camden, NJ: The Rutgers-Camden University women's basketball team defeated Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 56-43. The Scarlet Raptors move to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-8 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Jocelyn Huancaya recorded a career high 14 points in today's game for the Roadrunners to lead the team. She also posted five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Lauren Flatt posted a team high eight rebounds while adding eight points.
Damiya Graham contributed with nine points, one steal and one rebound while
Alison Ahern tallied six points, two steals and three rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 26% (14-53) from the field, 12% (1-8) from the three-point line and 63% (14-22) from the free throw line. The Roadrunners forced 27 Scarlet Raptor turnovers which led to nine points for the Roadrunners.
A balanced scoring attack from the Scarlet Raptors helped lead them to victory today. Na'Caia Jackson posted nine points while Courtney Edmundo pulled down a team high 15 rebounds and added eight points. Hope Goodwine collected eight points, seven rebounds with six assists and two steals. The team shot 35% (19-54) from the field, 28% (7-25) from the three-point line and 64% (11-17) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, December 11th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC game at 5:30pm.
