Mahwah, NJ: The Western Connecticut State University men's soccer team posted a 1-0 road win over Ramapo College tonight at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Wolves move to 2-1 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 0-2-2 on the year.
Neither team scored in the first half as the Wolves posted a 7-4 advantage in shots in the half. In the second, WestConn was awarded a penalty kick in the 54th minute (53:26). Kadin Talho was able to convert the kick and put the Wolves on the board, 1-0. Each team recorded six shots in the second half as WestConn held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal in the game. The Roadrunners recorded three corner kicks to the Wolves one.
Nikolai Matthews recorded five saves in the tough loss for the Roadrunners while Zachary Benson collected four saves for WestConn in the game.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, September 20th when they host Skidmore College at 7:00pm.
