RAMAPO FALLS TO #2 VASSAR AND #5 MESSIAH IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY

Poughkeepsie, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team wrapped up regular season play tonight on the road at #2 ranked Vassar College for a tri-match. The Roadrunners fell 3-0 in both matches to #5 ranked Messiah University and the host Brewers. Ramapo moves to 19-11 overall while Messiah stands at 24-4 overall and the Brewers move to 22-1 overall.
 
Match One
Messiah held off Ramapo in the first set, 26-24, before they won 25-15 and 25-17 in the final two sets to earn the non-conference victory. The Falcons hit .314 in the match as they were led by Mason Nissley with 22 kills. Connor Stauffer posted six kills and a team high four blocks while Nate Bowman added nine kills and three blocks. Matt Knab dished out 40 assists while Owen Hanzelman collected 12 digs on defense.
 
Andrew Finnegan posted 12 kills for Ramapo while he added six digs and two assists. Conor Charlow collected eight kills, two blocks and seven digs while Simon Moeller posted nine digs on defense to lead the team. JoJo Meyer posted two blocks and a team high 22 assists.
 
Match Two
The Falcons won their second match of the day, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22, over the Roadrunners. Messiah hit .381 in the match as they were led by Joseph Harrington who posted 12 kills while he added two aces and three blocks. Jordan Klembczyk added eight kills and Andrew Kim posted seven. AJ Erickson collected a team high 40 assists while Klembczyk posted nine digs on defense.
 
Finnegan posted 14 kills for Ramapo while Charlow and Brendan Edwards each recorded seven kills. Jack DiGirolamo tallied a team high four blocks while Charlow added three and Reece Kirchofer collected two. Meyer added 31 assists to his tally for the day and led the team with ten digs.
 
Ramapo will return to action at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 13th when they host the Skyline Conference Tournament Semifinals. The #2 seeded Roadrunners will take on #3 seeded NJCU at the Bradley Center.
