MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ADVANCES TO THE SKYLINE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH WITH 3-1 WIN OVER NJCU

Mahwah, NJ:   The #2 seeded Ramapo College men's volleyball team advanced to the Skyline Championship Match with a 3-1 (25-15. 23-25, 25-22, 25-16) semifinal victory over #3 seeded New Jersey City University tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners earned their 20th win of the season and move to 20-11 overall while the Gothic Knights now stand at 18-11 overall.
 
Ramapo took the first set before NJCU came back to take set two. The Roadrunners would hold onto a close third second before winning the fourth set to win the semifinal match. Ramapo hit .298 in the match to NJCU's .174.
 
JoJo Meyer dished out his 1,000th assist of the season in the first set as Conor Charlow put down a kill with Ramapo in the lead, 18-13. He is the 10th Roadrunner in program history to collect 1,000 assists in a single season. Andrew Finnegan led the way for Ramapo as he hit .400 in the match with 18 kills on 40 attempts and just two errors. Finnegan also posted 11 digs, one block and two aces. Reece Kirchofer collected 14 kills, three aces and nine digs while Jack DiGirolamo posted five kills and hit .375 on eight attempts and just two errors. Meyers finished with 45 assists, three kills, four digs and two blocks. On defense, Ramapo was led by Simon Moeller who recorded 15 digs while Mauricio Catalan posted seven digs and one ace. Charlow wrapped up the game with a team high five total blocks while adding two kills and one ace. Ramapo earns their 20th win of the season for the first time since 2014 when the team finished 25-11.
 
James Bajor recorded a team high 16 kills for NJCU while he added seven digs, two blocks and two aces. Brandon DaSilva posted 11 kills, two blocks and two digs while Mahmoud Serour posted nine kills, two blocks and 12 digs. Daniel Esteva recorded 13 digs for the Gothic Knights on defense. NJCU will wait to see if they earn and bid to the ECAC Championships.
 
Ramapo will travel to the #1 seed, St. Joseph's University Long Island, on Saturday, April 15th for the Skyline Championship Match at 4pm.
