Union, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated Massachusetts Institute of Technology tonight , 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-19). The match was hosted by Kean University. Ramapo won their third straight and 11th of their last twelve games as they improved to 14-7 overall while MIT now stands at 10-12 on the year.
The Roadrunners hit .363 in the match with 42 kills on 80 attempts and just 13 errors.
Andrew Finnegan led the way for Ramapo with 18 kills while adding two aces and two blocks.
Reece Kirchofer added nine kills and nine digs while
Conor Charlow and
Sean Nieves each posted four kills.
JoJo Meyer dished out a team high 34 assists while adding two kills and nine blocks.
Ben Volokh led MIT with 18 kills as he hit .464 in the match on 28 attempts and five errors. Ben Sheres hit .500 with 10 kills on 16 attempts and just two errors. Riley Oh posted 33 assists to lead the team while collecting six digs. George Change posted a team high seven digs on defense.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow morning when they host a Skyline Conference Tri-Match. Ramapo will take on Yeshiva at 10am before Yeshiva and Purchase are scheduled for 12pm. The Roadrunners will then play Purchase at 2pm.
