Mahwah, NJ: The New Paltz men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 26-24) non-conference win over Ramapo College tonight at the Bradley Center. The Hawks, who are ranked #8 in the AVCA Top 15 poll, move to 7-4 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-5 on the season.
The Hawks hit .392 in the match with 52 kills on 97 attempts and 17 errors. Pat Wing led the way with 19 kills as he hit .389 overall while adding one block. Brendan Spulnick posted nine kills, three aces and five digs while Krish Jain hit .600 with six kills on ten attempts and no errors. Jain posted three total blocks and five digs while Dan LaRosa posted a team high seven digs on defense. Kyle Shaffer dished out a team high 40 assists in the match while adding two kills and two blocks.
Ramapo hit .324 in the match with 32 total kills on 74 attempts and just eight errors.
Andrew Finnegan posted ten kills as he hit .364. Finnegan also posted four assists, one ace and six digs while
Sean Nieves added nine kills and one block. JoJo Myer dished out a team high 22 assists and eight digs while he posted four kills, two blocks.
Jack DiGirolamo posted a team high four blocks along with three kills and one ace.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, February 11th when they host #4 ranked Vassar College at 12pm and Eastern Nazarene College at 4pm. Vassar and Eastern Nazarene will square off in the middle match scheduled for 2pm.
