WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS #1 SEED; WILL HOST ECAC TOURNAMENT

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's basketball team earned the #1 overall seed in the upcoming ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. With the top seed, the Roadrunners earn a first-round bye and will host the semifinals and championship games on Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5th.
 
Ramapo earns the program's 7th appearance in the tournament along with the 4th appearance under head coach Mike Eineker. The Roadrunners will host the winner of a first-round game in #4 Penn State Behrend and #5 Alvernia. The first semifinal game will tip-off at 4pm on Saturday while the second semifinal game it set for 6pm. All first-round games will be played at campus sites. Ramapo could see familiar NJAC rivals #2 seeded New Jersey City University and #3 seeded William Paterson University.
 
The Roadrunners have been led by Jackie Ventricelli, who earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors this season. Ventricelli leads the Roadrunners in scoring (388 points), steals (94), three-pointers (33), and free throws (97); while she is second in assists (68) and tied for second in rebounds (145). Jada Thompson, who also earned NJAC All-Conference honors, posted eight double doubles this season. Thompson led the team in rebounding with 188 total rebounds while she finished second in scoring with 291 points, assists (70) and steals (60).

Ticket Information at Ramapo:
All Ramapo students with ID will enter FREE.
$5 adults and $2 students, senior citizens and children.
Ticket sales will begin one hour prior to the scheduled game time.
 
Concession stand will be open in the Bradley Center throughout the tournament.
