Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated York College (NY) tonight in non-conference action, 103-29. The Roadrunners move to 2-1 overall while the Cardinals open the season at 0-1.
Alison Ahern posted a career high 26 points finishing 13-20 from the field while she grabbed nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Lauren Flatt also posted a career high with 25 points finishing with four three-pointers.
Brianna Michel grabbed a career high of 12 points and six assists while
Carley Martin added nine points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Daria Pontone pulled down nine rebounds while she added six points. Ramapo shot 59% (45-76) from the field, 66% (6-9) from the three-point line and 70% (7-10) from the free throw line.
Alicia Gumbs led the Cardinals with 15 points, three assists and seven rebounds. Madison Plaza posted seven points and six rebounds. The team shot 21% (10-46) from the field, 1-12 (8%) from the three-point and 72% (8-11) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, November 18th when they travel to Centenary University for a non-conference game at 1:00 PM.
