Union, NJ: The #13 ranked Kean University field hockey team defeated Ramapo College tonight at Alumni Stadium, 2-0. The Cougars move to 9-4 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 3-10 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Peyton Mann scored both goals in the game for the Cougars, one in the first (8:27) assisted by Morgan Stump. The Ramapo defense and
Michelle Kukan held the #13 Cougars scoreless in the second and third quarters before Mann converted on a penalty stroke in the fourth (56:19).
Kean recorded 15 shots on goal in the game and earned 12 penalty corners. Cougar goalie Jenna Flemings posted one save in the net. For the Roadrunners, the team posted four shots including one on goal. Ramapo recorded two penalty corners in the game while Kukan posted 11 saves including her 100th of the season. Kukan now has 108 on the year and 251 in her three-year career, which is 5th on the career saves list at Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action on October 21st when they travel to SUNY Cortland in a non-conference game at 2:00PM.
