Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 17-23, 25-22) non-conference victory over SUNY Potsdam today at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 overall while the Bears now stand at 1-4 on the season.
The Roadrunners earned a win in the first two sets before the Bears came back to take set three. Ramapo had control of the fourth set to wrap up their 3-1 victory.
Andrew Finnegan led the way with 23 kills as he hit .319 in the match. He also contributed with eight digs, two blocks and one ace.
Sean Nieves added 12 kills, three blocks and three digs while
Conor Charlow tacked on seven kills, five digs and two blocks.
JoJo Meyer dished out a team high 41 assists while adding one ace, two blocks and 11 digs.
Mauricio Catalan posted a team high 15 digs on defense while
Reece Kirchofer added nine digs, eight kills and four total blocks. The team recorded 51 kills in the match on 143 attempts with 31 errors.
For the Bears, Joe Zimmerman posted 12 kills, two assists, two blocks and 11 digs to lead the team while Matt Kilinski tacked on nine kills as he hit .353 in the match along with four blocks. Zaire Rogers posted a team high 12 digs while Cooper Colesante dished out a team high 36 assists. The team recorded 46 total kills on 138 attempts with 23 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, January 28th when they travel to Stevens Institute of Technology for a non-conference tri-match. The Roadrunners will take on #2 ranked Springfield College at 4pm and #3 ranked Stevens at 6pm.
