STOCKTON TOPS RAMAPO IN NJAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ACTION, 43-35

Galloway, NJ:  The Stockton University women's basketball team snapped a seven game losing skid with a, 43-35, win over Ramapo College this afternoon in NJAC action. The Ospreys even their overall record to 9-9 and stand at 4-7 in the conference. The Roadrunners see their three game win streak come to an end as they move to 14-4 overall and 8-3 in the NJAC.
 
Ramapo led 10-9 heading into the second quarter before Stockton held Ramapo to just five points while adding 11 of their own. The Ospreys went into the locker room with a 21-15 lead before Stockton added nine in the third and 14 in the fourth while holding the Roadrunners to ten in each of the final two quarters.
 
Two Ospreys scored in double figures in the game as Adriyana Jennings recorded a double-double of 18 points and ten rebounds. Emma Morrone collected ten points and eight rebounds along with two blocks and two steals. Nicole Strumolo added eight points while Madison Dulude led the team with 11 rebounds in the game. Stockton shot 25% (13-51) from the floor in the game, 23% (4-17) from the three-point line and 61% (13-21) from the free throw line. The Osprey defense forced 18 Ramapo turnovers which only led to seven points for Stockton.
 
Olivia Johnstone and Jackie Ventricelli each collected eight points for the Roadrunners to lead the team. Shannon Burns led the team with 13 rebounds while she added six points and two steals while Jada Thompson posted seven points and nine rebounds. Bridget Cahill tacked on six points, one assist and one steal. The team shot 24% (12-50) from the field and 58% (10-17) from the free throw line. Ramapo forced 21 Stockton turnovers which led to just eight points for the Roadrunners.
 
Ramapo returns to action on the road this Wednesday, January 25th when they travel to Kean University in NJAC conference action at 6pm.
