Allentown, PA: The Ramapo College women's soccer team improved to 2-1 overall with a 3-1 win on the road at Cedar Crest College. The Falcons also stand at 2-1 on the season.
Carla Goodwin earned a hat-trick in today's game with three straight goals in the first half. Goodwin and
Lauren Vladyka connected on the first two goals in the 11th (10:34) and 12th minutes (11:29) of action for a 2-0 lead. Goodwin scored her third goal of the game and team leading fourth of the season off a pass from
Sam Ingannamorte in the 19th minute (18:20) to push the score to 3-0. For the Falcons, Taylor Wolf posted her seventh goal of the year as Brielle Davies assisted to get on the board in the 29th minute of play. The two teams played until just over the 70th minute mark as the game was called by the officials and head coaches; 70 minutes is considered a completed game by NCAA rule.
Ramapo collected ten shots in the game while Cedar Crest posted 12 while the Roadrunners posted seven on goal to the Falcon's four. Each team collected four corner kicks while
Makenna Tahbaz posted two saves in 45 minutes of play while
Emma Conlan collected one save in just over 25 minutes of play.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, September 14th on the road at Drew University for a non-conference game at 7pm.
