Madison, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team fell to Drew University in non-conference action on the road tonight, 3-2. The Roadrunners even their overall record at 2-2 while the Rangers move to 5-1 overall.
Carla Goodwin scored the first goal of the game to put the Roadrunners on the board in the 20th minute (19:32). Goodwin's team leading 5th goal of the season was assisted by
Sam Ingannamorte. Drew then scored three unanswered goals for a 3-1 lead. Alexa Krause scored back-to-back goals in the 33rd and 37th minute of action. Rebecca Racine collected her own rebound off her previous shot in the 42nd minute to put in the third goal for the Rangers and the 3-1 lead.
Late in the second half the Roadrunners added one goal to their tally as
Lauren Vladyka scored her third of the season, unassisted in the 85th minute. The Rangers kept the Roadrunners from tying the game in the final five minutes of action to hold onto the 3-2 non-conference win.
Drew held a 14-8 advantage in shots on goal in the game while they posted six corners to Ramapo's three.
Emma Conlan tallied 11 saves in the game as she faced 28 total shots. Anthi Panayides recorded two saves in the first half for Drew while Amina Cirkiel recorded three saves in the second half.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 17th when they travel to Neumann University for a non-conference game beginning at 4pm.
