Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team remained unbeaten with a 4-0 shutout victory over Penn State University - Abington today in non-conference action at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners improve to 3-0-1 overall while the Nittany Lions move to 0-6-1 on the year.
Morgan Korinchak put the Roadrunners on the board just over two minutes into the game when she scored her first goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. Korinchak struck again in the 14th minute for her second goal of the game to extend the lead, 2-0.
Brianna Appello added her first collegiate goal of her career in the 42nd minute off an assist from
Sofia Cascio as the Roadrunners took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Ramapo added their fourth goal in the 55th minute when
Julianna Capitanello connected on her second goal of the season. Korinchak earned the assist on the goal to finish the game with five points on two goals and one assist.
The Roadrunners held a 14-5 advantage in shots on goal. Korinchak led the team with six shots, including four on goal, while Appello recorded four shots.
Gabby Matias posted five saves in 82:20 of action before
Alissa Mendes closed out the game in goal. Ramapo has now recorded four straight shutouts to open the 2026 season and has outscored its opponents 11-0 through the first four games.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd when they host Penn College in a non-conference game at 7:00pm.
