Mahwah, NJ: The Rutgers Camden University men's soccer team posted a 1-0 road win over Ramapo College this afternoon at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Scarlet Raptors move to 5-5-2 overall and 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-5-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Tommy Monaghan scored his third goal of the season for Rutgers in the 32nd minute of action as Raimondo Partito earned the assist to put the Scarlet Raptors on the board, 1-0. Ramapo held a 6-5 edge in shots in the first half while they added 22 shots in the second half to the Scarlet Raptor's three. Ramapo also posted 14-5 advantage in shots on goal for the game and 16-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Nikolai Matthews posted four saves in the net for Ramapo and Sean Boen collected 14 for Rutgers including 11 in the second half.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 1st when they travel to NJAC rival Montclair State University for a 7pm game.
