Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team dropped their 2022 season opener today to the Devils of FDU-Florham, 1-2.
Ramapo would get on the scoreboard first in the game as
Lauren Vladyka posted her first of the season off an assist from
Mia Santana. The score would remain until the halftime buzzer where Ramapo trailed slightly in shots, 6-7.
Emma Conlan made two saves in the net in the first half while Erica Blackburn made two for FDU.
In the second half, Mia Lopez would score her first of the season, unassisted, to tie the game at 63:30 and Daniella Conanan would give the Devils the lead scoring the eventual game winner at 70:29. The score would stand giving FDU their first win of the season. In the second half, the Devils led in shots, 10-2 as Ramapo collected three additional saves and FDU made one.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 3
rd at 1pm when they host Sarah Lawrence.
