Mahwah, NJ: The Carleton College (MN) men's soccer team opened the 2022 season with a 2-0 road victory over Ramapo College this afternoon at the Athletic Center Turf Field.

The Knights (1-0 overall), who qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season, scored one goal in each half to pick up the win. Blake Jones picked up four points today as he scored both goals. In the first half he broke the 0-0 tie with a goal in the 36th minute off a pass from Dylan Fox-Arnold. In the second half he added an insurance goal for a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute as Briggs Priem notched the assist.

Carleton and Ramapo finished the game almost even in shots with the Knights posting 11 shots, nine on goal and the Roadrunners recording 12 shots and seven on goal.
Nikolai Matthews recorded seven saves in the game for Ramapo while Alexei Thomas also collected seven saves for Carleton.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Sept. 3rd when they host Misericordia University in a non-conference game at the Turf Field. The game is slated to begin at 12pm.
