Wilkes-Barre, PA: The Ramapo College men's soccer team opened the 2026 season with a shutout victory over Wilkes University, 5-0. The Colonels even their record to 1-1 overall.
The Roadrunners scored two goals in the first half and three in the second.
David Oh opened the scoring in the 30th minute of action off a pass from
Dylan Biernacki to the 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute,
Dino Radoncic made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal before he assisted the next two goals for the Roadrunners. Biernacki (76th minute) and
Kyle Allen (83rd minute) tallied the third and fourth goals of the game to push the score, 4-0.
Jorge Espinosa, Jr. earned the assist on the final goal of the game when
Vincent Candela hit the back of the net, 5-0. Ramapo tallied 23 shots in the game (11 on goal) while they held a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Zachary Natt earned the shutout in goal with two saves in the second half to keep Wilkes off the board.
The Roadrunners return to action this Saturday when they travel to Keene State College for two non-conference games. Ramapo will take on John Jay College at 3pm on Saturday and Babson College at 2pm on Sunday.Â
