Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's outdoor track and field team hosted the Ramapo College Invitational the April 1st and April 2nd. The Roadrunners finished 4th overall with 80 points.
On Friday afternoon,
Ariel Nyamekye posted a 4th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 10.76-meters and she recorded a 5th place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 32.01-meters.
On Saturday, Ramapo won the 4x100-meter relay when they clocked in at 49.91 seconds. The team was made up of
Meredith Yaskovic, Gbarber Dwah,
Emily Dustman and
Delilah Cruz.
Lindsay McNeill posted a 4th place finish in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 5:03.69. Ramapo had three runners in the 100-meter finals as Yaskovic won the race in 12.60 seconds. Dwah and Cruz went 4-5 while they posted identical times of 12.80 seconds.
Dina Ayoub finished 9th in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.77 while Yaskovic placed 4th in the 200-meter dash in 25.92 seconds. Cruz placed 6th in the same event in 26.53 seconds. In the 4x400-meter relay, the Roadrunners placed 4th overall in 4:21.42. The team was made up of Ayoub,
Barbara Exilus,
Suzanne Zaugg and
Kacy Ewing.
In the field,
Sophia Cender placed 3rd overall in the javelin with a throw of 26.35-meters. In the triple jump,
Camila Krejpowicz placed 3rd overall with a jump of 10.34-meters.
Ramapo will return to action on April 8th and April 9th when they travel to New York, NY for the MET Championships.
