Springfield, MA: The Springfield College men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College tonight in non-conference action, 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 33-31). The Roadrunners (9-8 overall) pushed the #2 ranked team in sets two and three while Springfield (13-1 overall) extended their win streak to three.
The Pride hit .463 for the match as they tallied 49 total kills on 80 attempts with just 12 errors. Noah Weislo and Giancarlo Carrion each put down ten kills in the match. Carrion added six digs and four blocks while Weislo added one assist, two digs and one block. Ethan Weislo dished out a team high 31 assists while adding five digs and one block. Johan Mussa Robles posted ten digs to lead the team on defense while he added five assists. Chris Rouleau contributed with eight kills, one ace, two digs and one block.
For the Roadrunners,
Conor Charlow led the way as he hit .363 with six kills on 11 attempts and just two errors. He also added three aces to lead the team and on solo block.
Andrew Finnegan put down nine kills and posted four digs and one assist while
Jack DiGirolamo led the way with two solo blocks and two assisted blocks. He also put down three kills and one ace.
Josh Titus and
JoJo Meyer split the setting duties tonight with 11 and 13 assists respectively. Titus also recorded three kills, two aces, two blocks and one dig while Meyer tallied one kill and one dig. On defense,
Tyler Plitt led the way with seven digs while he contributed with two assists. Ramapo tallied 27 kills in the match on 76 attempts and 16 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action Thursday, March 10th when they travel to New Jersey City University for a NJAC conference match starting at 7pm.
