NJCU BATTLES BACK TO DEFEAT RAMAPO IN CONFERENCE ACTION

Jersey City, NJ:  The New Jersey City University men's Volleyball team handed Ramapo College their first Skyline loss of the season in an intense 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17) conference victory. The Gothic Knights move to 13-6 overall and 3-2 in the Skyline/2-1 NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 9-9 overall and 5-1 in the Skyline/1-2 NJAC.
 
Two Gothic Knights recorded double digit kill totals in the win as Jonathan Andrews posted a team high 23 kills as he hit .373 overall. He also tallied one ace, eight digs and two blocks. Hanel Collado posted ten kills on 20 attempts with just two errors as he hit .400 in the match. He also contributed with nine digs and one solo block. Brandon DaSilva posted nine kills and three assisted blocks while Leo Ferrari dished out a team high 43 assists and added three digs, two aces and two blocks. James Bajor posted 17 digs to lead the team on defense while he added eight kills and two total blocks. The team hit .256 in the match with 52 kills on 133 attempts and 18 errors.
 
The Roadrunners were led by Andrew Finnegan who tallied a season high 22 kills while he added two total blocks, one ace, one assist and six digs. Reece Kirchofer recorded eight kills, ten digs and one block while Josh Titus led the team with 31 assists. Titus added two kills and seven digs while Tyler Plitt led the team with 17 digs on defense. The Roadrunners posted 46 kills as a team on 135 attempts and 20 errors.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on March 20th when they travel to Yeshiva for a Skyline conference match at 1pm.
