Brooklyn, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team remained undefeated in the Skyline Conference with two 3-0 wins in a conference tri-match hosted by St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. The Roadrunners defeated the Bears, 3-0 (25-6, 25-11, 25-13) and the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 3-0 (25-11, 25-7, 25-17). The Roadrunners move to 9-7 overall and 5-0 in the Skyline conference.
In the first match of the day Ramapo was led by
Reece Kirchofer who put down seven kills and hit .455 in the match. He also tallied one assist, three aces and three digs.
Conor Charlow added five kills and hit .571 while he added three assists, two aces, two kills and two blocks.
JoJo Meyer recorded a team high 16 assists and added two aces and eight digs.
Josh Titus led the team with four aces while he added two kills and seven assists. The Roadrunners tallied 33 kills in the match and 16 aces.
For the Bears, the team recorded six total kills as they were led by Ramizjon Khudoyorov who posted four and Alex Helfant who added two. Israel Bautista dished out six assists while he also led the team with 21 digs.
In the Roadrunners second match of the day against CMSV,
Andrew Finnegan and Kirchofer each put down six kills to lead the team. Finnegan also collected one assist and two digs while Kirchofer added one ace and two digs. Titus led the way with eight assists while he collected two aces, three digs and one block. Charlow added five kills and one solo block while Josh Caggiano and
Jason van der Wilt each posted three kills in the match.
For the Dolphins, Kyle Thompson led the way with four kills while he added two aces, four digs and one block. Miguel Losa also tallied four digs while he led the team with six assists. CMSV posted 12 kills as a team in the match.
Ramapo returns to action on March 8th when they travel to Springfield College for a non-conference matchup at 7pm. The Pride are ranked #1 in the latest AVCA Division III Top 15 poll.
