Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated Kean University in a NJAC match tonight at the Bradley Center, 3-1 (24-26, 25-16, 25-17, 25-15). The Roadrunners move to 7-7 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Cougars now stand at 10-6 overall and 0-2 in the NJAC.
The Roadrunners were led by
Andrew Finnegan who posted a career high 21 kills while
Conor Charlow tallied 10 kills and three blocks. Charlow now has 507 career kills and 210 career blocks.
Sean Nieves collected 13 kills for the Roadrunners while Finnegan posted 12 digs on defense.
Jack DiGirolamo led the way with four blocks while he added one ace and one assist.
Josh Titus dished out a team high 51 assists while
Tyler Plitt contributed with three assists and a team high 18 digs on defense. Nieves hit .667 in the match while Charlow hit .625. The team combined to hit .363 with 58 total kills on 124 attempts and just 13 errors.
Kean had two players with double digit kills as Rajheem Meulens led the way with 14 kills and Duncan Beilke added 12. Zachary Noll posted a team high 35 assists while he added two digs and two blocks. Quincy Rooi led the way on defense with ten digs. The Cougars recorded 41 kills in the match with 121 attempts and 23 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Thursday, March 3rd when they travel to Yeshiva University for a Skyline conference match at 8pm.
