Union, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned a non-conference win tonight over rival Kean University, 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-15). The Roadrunners improve to 5-3 overall while the Cougars now stand at 4-2 overall.
Andrew Finnegan led the way for the Roadrunners hitting .579 in the match with 12 kills on 19 attempts and just one error. He also posted one ace, one assist and two digs.
Sean Nieves posted seven kills while he added six digs and two assisted blocks.
Jason van der Wilt and
Conor Charlow each put down five kills and two assists while Charlow added two aces and one block.
JoJo Meyer posted a team high 23 assists while adding two kills and three digs. The team hit .500 in the match with 35 total kills on 58 attempts and just six errors.
For the Cougars, Quincy Rooi led the way with seven kills while he added two aces, two digs and one block. Duncan Beilke posted six kills and two blocks while Zachary Noll dished out a team high 15 assists. The team recorded 26 total kills in the match on 69 attempts and 19 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday afternoon at the Bradley Center when they host a Skyline tri-match with Purchase College (1pm) and Marymount University (5pm). The two team will face off against each other at 3pm.
