Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a tri-match today at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners defeated SUNY Purchase, 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-9) in Skyline action as they remained undefeated in conference play. Marymount University, ranked #8 in the AVCA Top 15 poll, posted a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-23) over the Roadrunners while they defeated Purchase, 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-7) in the second match of the day.
The Roadrunners were led by
Andrew Finnegan who posted 13 kills on 18 attempts and no errors as he hit .722 against Purchase.
Simon Moeller posted seven kills, three aces, four digs and one block.
Tyler Plitt posted eight digs to lead the team on defense while
Josh Titus dished out 27 assists to lead the team while he posted three aces, four digs and one block.
Jack DiGirolamo posted five kills and a team high two blocks. The team hit .471 in the match with 38 kills on 70 attempts and just five errors.
Joe Higgins led Purchase with eight kills while Jeremiah Huntt put down four kills. Idris Idris dished out ten assists while Jasper Zeray posted seven digs to lead the team on defense. The Panthers posted 14 kills in the match.
In Ramapo's second match of the day, Finnegan once again led the way with 15 kills while he added five digs, one assist and one ace.
Jason van der Wilt posted 12 kills and four digs while
Josh Titus dished out a team high 33 assists, two kills, two aces and five digs. Plitt led the team on defense with 11 digs while he added two kills and three assists. The team collected 40 kills on 109 attempts and 14 errors.
Marymount was led by Ervin Harell who posted 12 kills while he added one assist, one ace and eight digs. Raymond Tarasi posted ten kills and four digs while Jason Perkins hit .615 in the match with nine kills on 13 attempts and just one error. Will Wright collected a team high 11 digs and Sava Topich dished out a team high 38 digs while adding three kills and two blocks. The Saints hit .341 in the match with 43 kills on 91 attempts and just 12 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 15th when they travel to Misericordia University for a 7:30pm match.
