New Paltz, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches on the road today at SUNY New Paltz. The host Hawks defeated the Roadrunners, 3-0 (29-27, 25-16, 25-21) while Ramapo came back with a 3-0 (28-26, 25-22, 25-15) win over SUNY Poly.
In their first match of the day against New Paltz, the Roadrunners combined for 25 kills.

Conor Charlow all tallied seven kills apiece. Finnegan added four digs, one ace and one solo block while
Jason van der Wilt posted three kills, one assist, one ace and two digs.
JoJo Meyer dished out a team high 23 assists while he added two aces and a team high seven digs on defense.
New Paltz was led by Brendan Spulnick who put down 12 kills while he added two assists and two digs. Chris Shanley posted eight kills, two aces and four digs while Pat Wing collected seven kills, one assist, three aces, four digs and a team high two total blocks. Kyle Shaffer dished out a team high 31 assists while he added one ace and four digs. Dan LaRosa led the team on defense with nine digs.
In the Roadrunner's win over SUNY Poly, Nieves led the way hitting .348 in the match with 12 kills on 23 attempts and just four errors. He also posted three digs and two combined blocks. Finnegan posted ten kills, one assist, three aces and eight digs. Meyer dished out 23 assists while he added four kills, four digs and two aces.
Tyler Plitt posted seven digs on defense while adding two assists and van der Wilt posted eight digs, five kills, two aces and one assist in the match.
Garrett Hassard led SUNY Poly with ten kills while he added a match high three solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Jason Aubrey and Matthew Russo posted six kills each while Nathan Farnham collected a team high 27 assists. Jacon Wicher posted a team high ten digs on defense.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 8th when they travel to Kean University for a NJAC matchup at 7pm.
