MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS ON THE ROAD

Poughkeepsie, NY:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team fell to two AVCA ranked teams on the road this afternoon at Vassar College. The Roadrunners move to 6-7 overall.
 
Vassar, who are ranked #2 in the AVCA Top 15 Poll, earned 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-22) win as they moved to 8-1 overall. Vassar was led by Vaughn Ramsey who posted 18 kills and a team high four total blocks while he added five digs. Jake Kaplan and Andrew Kim posted six kills each while Jacob Kim dished out a team high 30 assists. Jorge Adames Reyes posted a team high nine digs on defense. The team hit .253 in the match with 41 kills on 95 attempts and 17 errors.
 
For the Roadrunners, Andrew Finnegan, Jason van der Wilt and Conor Charlow all posted five kills each. Charlow added two digs and four blocks while van der wilt led the way with nine digs on defense. Josh Titus posted 16 assists and two blocks while the Roadrunners recorded 18 kills during the match on 78 attempts and 17 errors.
 
Stevens, who are ranked #4 in the AVCA Top 15 Poll, posted a 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-21) victory as they move to 11-2 overall.  Tyler Christensen led the team with eight kills while Chris Varseveld, Jack Fyda and Koby Sherman all collected seven kills in the match. Louden Moran dished out a team high 34 assists while Sherman led the way on defense with five digs. The Ducks hit .357 in the match with 38 kills on 70 attempts and 13 errors.
 
Finnegan led the way once again for Ramapo with nine kills. He also added three digs and one ace. van der Wilt posted eight kills and six total blocks while Charlow added five blocks and two kills. Titus posted 21 assists while Tyler Plitt tallied a team high five digs on defense.
 
The Roadrunners will return to action on Tuesday, March 1st when they host Kean University in a NJAC conference match at 7pm at the Bradley Center.
