THREE ROADRUNNERS NET CAREER HIGHS IN WIN OVER MEDGAR EVERS

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo Women's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College tonight at the Bradley Center in a non-conference match-up, 80-27.  The Roadrunners move to 9-1 overall while the Cougars fall to 2-7 overall.
 
Ramapo held Medgar Evers under ten points in three out of the four quarters in tonight's game as they earned their ninth overall victory.  Three Roadrunners recorded career highs in the as they were led by Carley Martin with 16 points while Olivia Consenzo added 15 and Marie Eid added seven. Jackie Ventricelli also posted seven points while Karly Wittenbauer and Brianna Michel Carter each posted six points. Whittenbauer led the way with 11 rebounds while Consenzo posted a team high five steals. Ramapo shot 54% (34-63) from the field, 35.7% (5-14) from beyond the three point line, and 87.5% (7-8) from the free throw line. The Ramapo defense forced 36 Medgar Evers turnovers which led to 39 points for the Roadrunners.
 
Jennifer Metra led Medgar Evers with nine points.  Shelly Quezada tacked on six points and led the team with nine rebounds.  Mariame Gueye posted six points and dished out one assist.  The Cougars shot 20.8% (11-53) from the field, 11.1% (1-9) from beyond the three point line, and 50% (4-8) at the free throw line.
 
The Roadrunners return to action Friday, December 30 when they host John Jay College for a non-conference match-up at 1:00pm.
