Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team posted a 19-2 victory today over Keystone College at home at the Athletic Center behind five goals from
Shannon Eagan. With the victory the Roadrunners improve to 1-1 on the year. Keystone falls to 0-2 to start the season.
Colleen Mason got the Roadrunners on the board to start the game as she scored her first goal of the season under three minutes into the game. Eagan scored one of her own just over one minute later, before
Lauren Armellino, off an assist from Eagan, put the Roadrunners up 3-0.
Taylor Peracchio got the fourth goal for the Roadrunners and Eagan would strike back-to-back to give Ramapo a 6-0 advantage.
Nicole Jaskot, Peracchio, Mason and Eagan would all collect goals down the stretch to lead 10-0 and force a running clock. Krista Strausser would score with 8:42 to play to scratch out the shut out and get Keystone on the board. The half would end with Ramapo on top, 12-1.
The Roadrunners led in the half in shots, 22-12 and ground balls, 20-10. Ramapo earned five free position shots to Keystone's four.
In the second period, Ramapo's
Danielle Dellapi and
Devon DiRenno would put the Roadrunners on top, 14-1 before Savanna Robinson got Keystone's second goal in the back of the net with 23:46 on the clock. The Roadrunners did not sit back as they collected two additional goals from Jaskot and Dellapi to take the 14-goal advantage. The remainder of the game went much of the same as Ramapo dominated, walking away with a 19-2 non-conference victory.
In the final period, Ramapo held an advantage in shots, 17-5 while they also led in ground balls at 18-5. The Roadrunners grabbed six draw controls to Keystone's three.
Alexandra Kerwin gets the win in the net making nine saves on the day. Eagan finished with five goals and Mason four while Eagan collected her 100th career point in the game. She becomes just the 7th Roadrunner in program history to reach this mark.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, March 4
th when they travel to Mt. St. Mary for a 6pm start.
