Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University tonight on the road 140-104. The Roadrunners improve to 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the NJAC while the Pioneers stand at 11-4 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC.
The 200-yard medley relay team posted a first place time of 2:00.62. The team was made up of
Julia Housel,
Allison Van Glahn,
Grace McCrone and
Maggie Herbert. Herbert and
Meghan Trewhella went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:02.95 and 2:09.95 respectively. J. Housel won the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.61) while
Brenda Arthur posted a second place time of 1:03.87. Arthur won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.19.
The Roadrunners grabbed the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle. Trewhella won in 26.03 while J. Housel placed second (26.73) and
Lene Sansone placed third overall in 28.18. Trewhella also won the 100-yard freestyle in 59.32 and Herbert won the 500-yard freestyle when she clocked in at 5:37.52. The 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of Trewhella, J. Housel, Arthur and Herbert won in 3:52.08
The Roadrunners final regular season meet will be on the road on Saturday, February 4th when they travel to Drew University for a 1pm start.
