Mahwah, NJ:  The College of New Jersey women's swim team defeated Ramapo College today 142-118 in NJAC action. The Lions improve to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
 
Julia Housel, Brenda Arthur, Meghan Trewhella and Maggie Herbert combined to take home a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:54.31. Stacey Sarah placed second overall in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:38.36 while Herbert won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.38. J. Housel won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.67 while Arthur also clinched a first place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.38. Herbert won back-to-back events in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle with times of 25.06 and 56.00 respectively.  Arthur also won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.33 while she won the 200-yard IM in 2:20.11.  The 400-yard freestyle relay team won the event with a time of 3:40.66. The team was made up of Grace McCrone, Cara Housel, Jamie Thomas and Evangeline Witzak.
 
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJAC rival Rowan University on November 12th at 2pm.
